We are so excited that we are in a part of the world that will witness a partial solar eclipse on Wednesday August 12th 2026. You won’t want to miss this rare event, so we hope you will join us for a very special viewing party.

For Scotland, the eclipse will happen when the sun is beginning to set so it will be low in the western sky. We will be in the grassy outdoors, so please bring something to sit on. We have safety glasses for everyone to be able to watch safely. If the sky is too cloudy to see the eclipse, we will stay in the village hall and watch the Royal Observatory Greenwich livestream of the event.
